Hello Community, as you know, we have applied for a patent for the trademark “GeneRacing” as a word-picture trademark and are its owner with seniority priority, which means that we as the senior patent owner do not (can) infringe any rights.

Nevertheless, we want to avoid confusion as far as possible and do everything to ensure that there is no overlap here. Therefore, we have decided to distance ourselves even more clearly from supposed similarities – as we have always communicated and realised in a documented way. For this reason GeneRacing will be renamed GentRacing. GentRacing is therefore also not available in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Lithuania since 2021.

The new name “GentRacing” is an abbreviation for GentlemanRacing, as some players have already correctly guessed. We want to behave, race and interact with each other like gentlemen in a variety of racing modes.

For us, this name change naturally means an immensely high cost and time expenditure, but we are happy to accept this in order to send a positive signal in all directions. Of course, “GentRacing” has also been successfully registered as a word and image trademark.

As some have already suspected, this is also the reason for the postponed Kickstarter campaign.

Nevertheless, we are constantly working on achieving our ideas and promises with discipline!

In the meantime, the entire network core has been completely revised.
This also entailed a new revision of the vehicle physics.
We have now reached a status that, from a development point of view, ensures the absolute best case for future further developments.

What does that mean in concrete terms?
– The vehicles now finally behave as realistically as one would expect them to do
– The network core has been reprogrammed to dedicated servers with server-authoritative movements
– Server-side AI’s will now be possible (no client needs to be responsible for this)
– Each player will be able to host a headless (dedicated) server in the future
– There will be official game servers (for the world ranking games) and unofficial game servers.
– The effects of high latencies of individual players are a thing of the past.
– The collision problems are almost completely solved.
– The preparations for spectators and streamers can now be integrated without any technical problems.
– The number of racers on a track is now unlimited (depending on FPS factors)
– The default car set is almost finished (only 1 car is missing)
